RECOILER
Made for the 1-Bit Jam
Theme: Tower
RECOILER is a rage platformer where the only way to move is through recoil, and you have to climb up a tower to reach a circle that lets you escape. the twist: your velocity changes on random parts of the tower, making the game harder.
CONTROLS:
left click to get launched in the opposite direction of the mouse.
when on a wall, you can walljump!

the game is fun af but it isnt intuitive, but its fun
Honestly really fun
The twist is just frustrating though I'd recommend maybe changing the color palette when things slow down and speed up because otherwise you don't know when it happens
i never expected for someone to comment on this after the jam, but this will be here in recoiler 2!
Very fun game! I dont like the twist, i think the speed should be consistent or at least have visual effect showing where we will be slow down, except this i love it
will fix that in the sequel!
I agree, if the speed changes it should also be communicated more clearly.

Nice "relaxing" game all around. Adding some sort of indicator to let the player know if they still have their jump or not might help, though I'm not sure if the lack of one is intentional.
recoiler 2 will have a power meter!
Hello! I liked your game, however I noticed that when you click close to the player the jump is almost always wickedly strong. Was just wondering if that was intentional. Good game tho!
